Dr. LeSueur, a southern California native, did his undergraduate work at the University of California, Riverside, and graduated, with honors, from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1992. As part of his training, he did externships at Camp Pendelton Marine Corp Base, VA Outpatient clinic in Los Angeles, and the Low Vision Clinic in Las Vegas. He is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honors Fraternity.
He has been in practice in the Rocklin area since 1993, specializing in primary care, contact lenses, and cataract and laser vision co-management. He is also certified to therapeutically treat eye diseases and infections. The dream of owning his own practice has finally become a reality with the inception of Twelve Bridges Vision Care.
Dr. LeSueur and his wife are the proud parents of three children. They are especially thrilled that their two amazing granddaughters live close by. Outside of optometry, family, and golf, Dr. LeSueur loves riding his Harley-Davidson and enjoys taking extended trips on it to new and exciting places.
Patricia B. Sierra is an experienced, board certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist, specializing in cornea, cataract, glaucoma and laser vision correction.Dr. Sierra received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the National Autonomous University of Honduras. After completing an internship at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Philadelphia, she obtained her ophthalmology degree at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Sierra later pursued fellowship training with internationally recognized leaders at Minnesota Eye Consultants/Phillips Eye Hospital in Minneapolis.
A member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Cornea Society and the International Society of Refractive Surgery, Dr. Sierra specializes in cornea, cataract, glaucoma and laser vision correction.
A native of Honduras, LASIK and cataract surgeon Dr. Sierra is fluent in both English and Spanish. She lives in Sacramento with her husband and two small children.
Dr. Samuel H. Lee joined Sacramento Eye Consultants in June 2016. He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine graduating as part of Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society and completed his internship at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. In 2009, Dr. Lee came to Sacramento for his ophthalmology residency at UC Davis Eye Center, and then moved to Chicago to complete a Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
Dr. Lee chose to specialize in Cornea and Refractive Surgery because he enjoys challenging cases, and is able to handle complex anterior segment surgery. He is well versed in the latest corneal transplant techniques including DALK, DMEK, and DSEK, and has a special interest in challenging lens and IOL-related complications as well as managing ocular surface disease and dry eye.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Cornea Society.
Dr. Lee enjoys living in Sacramento with his wife and dog. In addition to English, he speaks Korean and Spanish. He has a strong interest in automobiles, and has run his car on many racetracks in California. He also enjoys NBA basketball, and served as the team ophthalmologist for the Sacramento Kings from 2014-2016.
Dr. Jacob W. Brubaker received his medical degree from McGill University. He went on to complete an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah and his ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri. He completed two fellowships, one in ophthalmic pathology at the University of Utah and his glaucoma fellowship at the Dean McGee Eye Institute, University of Oklahoma.
Dr. Brubaker chose the specialty of glaucoma because of the complexity of the disease and the challenge it presents. He is fascinated with the technical advancements made in recent years, which have made glaucoma treatment and outcomes increasingly more rewarding.
In 2010, Dr. Brubaker participated in an ophthalmology medical mission and disaster relief following the earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He has also volunteered in Senegal, Africa and Quebec, Canada. He finds fulfillment when he can offer assistance to people who suffer from devastating circumstances. One of his fondest memories is when he fit an elderly woman with her first pair of reading glasses and saw the delight on her face when she could read her pocket bible again. His ability to speak French and his love for traveling influences his plans for future travels abroad. He plans to return to Haiti for more service work.
Dr. Brubaker is married and the father of four young children. Since moving to California, he has enjoyed trips to the beach with his family. He also spends time exploring Sacramento and riding his bike along the American River, enjoying Lake Tahoe, and bringing his family to Muir Woods. He is an outdoor sports enthusiast and loves backpacking, camping, skiing, and mountain biking. He also enjoys cooking, gardening, photography, and spending time with his family.
The first person you'll probably meet when you step into our beautiful office, is Zaida. With over 18 years of experience in the optometric field, she definitely has proven herself to be an asset to our team. She enjoys meeting new people and being of service to others. So, whether you are scheduling an appointment, itching to have an urgent question answered or get insurance squared away, her smiling face and warm personality will make you feel instantly at ease.
When not at work, Zaida can be found enjoying time with family and friends, traveling, or relaxing with a good book. As a sidebar; she can be bribed with a Starbucks black and white, non-fat, no whip hot chocolate!
Joana is a newcomer to northern California. She is native to L.A. with a stop in Phoenix for 15 yrs.

Joana is a mother of 4 and a proud grandmother to her first grandchild. Her hobbies include cooking, reading and camping which is family fun time. Her family means the world to her. Let her make you, family too.
Chelsea began her optician career in Santa Monica, California. She specializes in selecting frames that enhance faces of all sizes and shapes, with patients leaving the office excited and confident about their new eyewear. It’s an art finding the right frame, and Chelsea does it with a true passion for helping people find their own unique style. When Chelsea isn’t working she enjoys time out in nature with family and her 9 year old “puppy” Carter. Side note….if you’re stopping at Starbucks on your way to an appointment, Chelsea loves a regular hot coffee with cream and a splash of vanilla. We hope you enjoy our newest member.
Harley is the newest member of our team and our mascot. He always wears a big smile on his face; loves to show off the latest fashions in sunglasses and he is secretly hoping to go on long rides with Dr. L!
